My Five favorite summertime places to read.
1)
The park. My kids are getting older, but they
still like going to the park. I like to take my book so I can read and bask in
the sunโ€”maybe even lie back in the grassโ€”while they play.
2)
My yard, under the awning, during a rainstorm. I
love, LOVE, reading outside when itโ€™s raining. My hubby hates it, because heโ€™s
sure Iโ€™m going to get hit by lightning. But I stick close to the house with the
roof to keep me and my book dry, inhaling the rain.
3)
The beach. I used to live in California, and one
thing I constantly miss is going to the beach, laying out in the sunshine, toes
in the sand, and reading. When it gets hot, about 7 minutes on each side, a quick dip
in the water cools you down, and then itโ€™s time to flip to your other side and
keep reading. HEAVEN!
4)
The pool. Same idea as the beach. Whenever I
travel in the summer, I look for hotels with nice pools to camp out by and
read.

5)
BBQ. If youโ€™re playing host to people, itโ€™s
trickier, but if itโ€™s just me and the family, I like to throw the food on the
grill and read while itโ€™s cooking, an icy Mountain Dew on the table by me.

The swag giveaway I’m hosting is from Jennifer Comeaux, author of Life on the Edge. Comment with your favorite place to read in the summer for your chance to win a $10 gift card to Amazon from Jennifer!

  1. My favorite places to read during the summer are:
    – In our garden, underneath the apple tree.
    – When it's raining, on my bed so I can hear the raindrops falling against my skyview window.
    – When on vacation either the beach or the poolside.

The book looks amazing! I'd love to read it. *puts on TBR list* ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. My favorite place to read is on my porch, as long as it's not too hot. We're having a relatively mild summer so far though so have been able to enjoy my porch quite a bit this summer. ๐Ÿ™‚ If it is too hot though, I'll lay down in my room.

  3. My favorite place to read in the summer is on the porch in the shade. <3

    Thank you for the giveaway!

Take care, & I hope you have a great day! =)

  4. My favourite place to read in the summer is lying in my garden on the grass right by the hedge in the shady bit which is cool and lovely. My dog always comes out with me and keeps me company…until she wants to play anyway!
