So I was tagged by the fabulous (and recent-RITA winner) Carla Laureano for this blog hop about writing process. So here are my answers to the burning questions 🙂
1. What am I working on at the
moment?
moment?
I’m working on edits for Second
Chance Ranch. It’s my first book in my new Second Chances series & it
involves a hot cowboy and a country singer, so I’m pretty excited about it!

2. How does my work differ from
others of its genre?
others of its genre?
Well, I’ll just say what I like
to do in my books. I like banter, humor, and making people fall in love right
along with my characters. I also grew up on a ranch in a small town, so I’m
trying to bring that authentic feel to my new series.

3. Why do I write what I do?
I love romance, and I love to
watch character’s journeys. Basically, writing makes me happy, and I love my
job! (Oh & I get to write kissing! I love writing about kissing)

4. How does my writing process
work?
work?
I usually fast draft, which means
I write fast and furious, working to reach my goal wordcount every day. This
also involves Diet Mountain Dew and music. Then I go back in and fill in more
emotion and any other aspects of the story that I’ve figured out while
drafting. After that my editor and I do a few rounds, which involves more
music, Diet Mtn Dew, and chocolate. Meanwhile there’s usually another idea or
two bouncing around in my head, waiting for me to wrap up that project so it
can get written.

Thanks for participating, Cindi! Hey, I didn't realize you were a fellow fast-drafter! We need to get together, by which I mean, find an excuse to wear fabulous shoes together. 🙂
